Dripping Springs Distilling is hiring for our brand new Tasting Room and Event Venue for the following positions. All positions, including kitchen positions, are TIPPED positions; average weekly tip-income is an additional $3-$5 per hour!

  5. FOH positions: Host/Cashier

Hours of Operation are 1030am-5pm Thursday-Sunday. Happy Hour on Thursday from 5pm-7pm. After hour scheduled events are hosted from 5pm-12am. Kitchen will be scheduled 7am-6pm Wednesday-Sunday.

Our ideal candidates have outgoing and fun personalities, provide phenomenal guest experiences and are eager to build a loyal guest base and repeat business. Candidates must be team oriented, capable of thriving in a fast paced environment, have an extreme sense of urgency and are able to move quickly and efficiently.

Duties:

  1. Work as knowledgeable experts on all Dripping Springs Distilling Spirits and Republic Spirit Blends. Perform product tastings and sell the story and uniqueness of the Dripping Springs Brand. Product and distilling process training will be provided.

  2. Set up and stock kitchen

  3. Prepare food items for service

  4. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage

  5. Flexibility to work several different stations

  6. Be able to follow and execute recipes and procedures

Requirements:

  1. Manual dexterity to work cooking equipment/tools

  2. Food handlers required within 30 days of hire date

  3. Prep cook: 1-2 years of experience in full service restaurant

  4. Busser, dishwasher, host entry level position

  5. High-energy, friendly, and personable personalities

  6. Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  7. Team player

  8. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays

  9. Must have a reliable form of transportation

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour

JOB TITLE: Kitchen Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for daily kitchen operations and is in charge of coordinating and supervising the kitchen staff according to food safety standards. Duties include training, scheduling, quality control, maintaining a high level of execution in a fast-paced environment as well as food purchasing and product inventory. A top candidate for this position has strong leadership, organizational skills and attention to detail.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
  • Manages prep par levels for a prep heavy menu
  • Hiring new staff and providing training to facilitate quick acclimation
  • Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times
  • Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels
  • Creating schedules for all kitchen staff
  • Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste
  • Understands Profit & Loss and effective cost control

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years management experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively. Bi-lingual skills a plus.
  • State/Local Law requirements of alcohol and food manager certifications; upholds staff compliance.
  • Full managerial knowledge of kitchen, equipment and food service in an upscale environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, handling various job responsibilities at once.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills a must.
  • Successful management and leadership approach with strong mentoring background.
  • Computer literacy specifically in MS Office applications.
  • High energy, tenacity and contagious positive attitude.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Pending operations and schedules, normal scheduled workdays are Wednesday-Sunday
  • Work hours can vary; 40-50 hours/week. Non-Event days 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Groom’s Airstream

The Airstream is the ideal Groom’s/Groom’s party hangout. We have furnished it with comfy leather furniture, games and a bar accessories.

The Bride’s Retreat

The Bridal Party can relax, entertain and get ready in our beautiful Bridal House with a covered porch, living room, kitchenette and dressing room area (outfitted with multiple vanities and outlets for hair and makeup). The house is decorated with stylish lounge furniture both inside and out, perfect for Bridal photos. We stock complimentary water, coffee and mixers.

ARBOR PERGOLA & TERRACE

500 sqft Pergola | 400 SQFT Terrace

Overlooking The Grove, the Arbor Pergola is a perfect ceremony or intimate dining area (weather permitting) with local limestone tile floor and planted vines and pin lights. | 500sqft.

The Pergola can be combined with The Terrace to extend the available space. | Additional 400sqft

The Tasting Room

1500 sqft | capacity 100

Designed in the style of a contemporary Hill Country Ranch House, the main tasting area of our property is decorated in a blend of traditional materials like local limestone and contemporary fixtures and furnishings. Guests can relax on soft leather sofas and at copper topped or handmade timber tables. The entrance is through a 450sqft covered front porch. This versatile space has a fully equipped commercial kitchen and can be used to accommodate a number of different needs.

THE PATIO

Located to the rear of the Bar, facing the Grove, The Patio is furnished in handmade timber tables and benches. This space can be used for a cocktail area or outdoor dining.

THE DISTILLER’s BAR

The Distiller’s Bar adjoins both the Hall and the Grove and has glass and steel doors.

THE GROVE

2000 sqft | 200 ceremony seated

Set within a gorgeous live oak grove, The Grove is a flexible outdoor space with a purpose built stage and 60ft open area in front of the stage.

DISTILLER’S HALL

2400 sqft | 160 reception | 200 cocktail

Overlooking our beautifully lit live oak trees, our main event hall is a dramatic upscale contemporary barn space with 30ft high ceilings and large glass and steel windows and doors. The natural light and views are perfect for daytime weddings and our beautiful lighting also creates a truly magical evening.
